The Jedi Order was an ancient monastic peacekeeping organization unified by its belief in and observance of the Force, specifically the light side. The Jedi were guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic for thousands of years before the Clone Wars. Led by the Jedi Council, the Order grew over the millennia, during which time it faced wars against their mortal enemy, the Sith, as well as the Mandalorians.
Around 300 ABY the Jedi Order had grown to be the widely accepted religious authority by the norm of Galactic society, and found itself in a position to enjoy the relative peace that came with said position, most of the drama coming from politicians and lobbyists. 30 years later that all came crashing down as the Grand Master was found killed, a Phrik dagger in his eye, and a lightsaber wound in his stomach. Now as the Jedi attempt to spearhead a search for the truth, they must cope with the Galaxy pointing fingers all around them.
